St Paul preaching in the streets of Rome, on divine providence

After listening to the daily Gospel and spending time in meditation, I found myself walking through the ancient streets of Rome. As I wandered, I saw a vision of St. Paul preaching. His words carried great authority—his presence blazed with grace—yet he remained humble and simple, a man without pride but filled with divine purpose.

He didn’t appear as a soldier of earthly power, but as a disciple deeply connected to God—a man led by the love of Christ. I turned to Jesus and asked, “How did he become like this?”

Then Jesus showed me the moment when Saul became Paul.

I saw Saul lying on the ground, blinded by the brightest light ever seen. Trembling, he asked, “Who are you, Lord?”And Jesus answered, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting.”

In that instant, Saul’s heart was pierced. He felt deep sorrow and guilt wash over him—I have not believed in the true and living God. I have harmed His people. He began to weep bitterly, overcome by pain and remorse. Through tears, he cried, “Forgive me, my Lord. I have done wrong against You.”

Then Jesus said gently, “Get up and go where I send you. I have great plans for you. I love you and have forgiven you. Do as I say.”

That divine encounter transformed Saul into Paul. God gave him three days—to heal, to reflect, and to surrender completely. His total surrender and trust in the divine providence made him who he is. Thank you Lord for showing me the power of divine providence. Help me to surrender my self to as St Paul did. Amen !!!
